I own an Intel i9-10900KF, an Asus Tuf Z490 board, and an Asus Tuf RTX 3080 OC. I’m considering adding RAM since I mainly play games. Is MHz really important with Intel chips? Many people think over 3000MHz is unnecessary for Intel, but it could improve in the future. What are your thoughts on what RAM to get?
The 3000 MHz is ideal, beyond that improvements are minimal. Using Ryzen offers better memory speed, which could boost performance over time, though it’s sufficient now.
Reaching 3600 is the best approach. Speed isn't crucial, but it adds significant expense. Going slower saves money, yet is more costly, so 3600 seems the smart choice. A CL16 setup would be perfect, though CL18 works too.
Need to boost the cache speed for better use of Intel's fast memory. Otherwise, the improvement won't be significant.
