I have ample cooling. The OC I have now is 40 degrees below cap under load. Im using XTU and cant seem to get this stable above the point i have it rn. All core 5.1ghz Core voltage mode is on adaptive, Core voltage 1.4v No core offset AVX2 Ratio Offset 1.0X (avx2 benchmark causes bsod with this) Turbo Boost Power Time Window 1 second. (keeps changing to 51 for some reason though.) No Intel Thermal Velocity Boost Stock CPU cache settings. It seems stable yet unstable at the same time and i have no idea why. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. If any more info is needed I can supply Just want to get the absolute max performance out of this cpu. I have no power or thermal limitations (as of the moment.) I want to *try* and hit 5.5 all core stable. but if that isn't as realistic as I've read online, any boost helps

You chose a short turbo boost window for convenience, but you could adjust it to prioritize sustained performance. The standard setting is 51 seconds, which works well with your motherboard. Raising the long-term boost power helps maintain higher output during demanding tasks, as seen with your i7-9700 reaching up to 190W for 56 seconds. Setting a higher default ensures better efficiency under load, even if it means occasional dips to around 75W. Your cooler handles it, and the system stays stable during intense games.

I'll keep it at stock turbo for the mobile set I own. Cstates are off too—I didn't mention that earlier.

It really depends on the cooling setup. A 5.5GHz solution across all cores on a 10900K is tough unless you have a custom loop and top-grade silicon. My 10900K runs smoothly at 5.2GHz on all cores with a 1.4-1.42V supply. I’m currently at 5.1GHz across all 10 cores because the cooler struggles with that speed, which harms performance. Core-51 ring and 46 (if accurate) are within the best range for high-end CPUs like Comet Lake—around 0.3GHz. The Avx offset is zero. Voltage sits between 1.375 and 1.42V. The Corsair H100x cooler keeps things under 75°C, but if it can’t handle 10 cores at 5.2GHz, performance drops significantly. Idle temps hover around 30-35°C. You might try VCCIO and VCoreSAA for better stability. Do you have two sticks or four? Using four can add stress on the CPU’s power management unit, which is why top players often stick with two sticks for maximum OC potential.

You should consider the higher end of the range, like 1.4V, since temperatures stay manageable even when under load. Voltage tweaks aren't a big concern here.

Using a tailored loop allows you to extend its capabilities a bit more. My maximum is around 1.43 to 1.435; beyond that the silicon deteriorates rapidly, making the small speed gain not worthwhile. Why are you pushing it too hard? What do you hope to accomplish?

Generally, I focus on maximizing output while minimizing chip wear. Since most tasks are CPU-heavy, every detail counts, especially when upgrading to maintain performance.

It’s still the main mainstream option with the most physical cores available before the 12th/13th gen chips. OC improvements won’t drastically change performance, but it offers a modest boost. If you need more power, a new CPU+motherboard combo is an option, though you’ll need a different CPU block since LGA1700 has unique mounting points. It also depends on your country’s pricing for PC components. Where are you from? How do prices look there?
