Hello, I'm beginning to set up a new PC and need some advice. My workload is mostly gaming (45%), photo editing (45%) as a wedding photographer, and 10% for 4K video editing using Premiere, Resolve, and After Effects. I'm unsure whether to choose the i9 10900 now or wait for the Ryzen 4000. Should I go for an i9 10900 or hold off? Also, I'm considering a high-end Ampere GPU when it comes out. I currently have a Vega 56 with 64 BIOS. What do you think?

Wait, the 10900 non-K model is a poor choice since it falls short compared to the current 3900X in all aspects.

The standard 10900 non-K model performs worse compared to the 3900X currently available. If possible, hold off on the 3900X unless you're ready for the 3900X; it offers better performance across all scenarios. There isn't a substantial difference in specs between the 10900 and the K version, but a clear distinction exists.
