I placed an order for a new i7 9700F with an RTX 2070. I’m not very familiar with the specs, but I know you can’t overclock it and it needs a dedicated GPU to function properly. What worries me is the clock speeds—3.0 GHz base, 4.6 GHz turbo, and the K version at 3.6 GHz and 4.8 GHz turbo. How much does this difference matter for performance?
The 9700F matches the 9700, not the K model, mainly because of the price. When both versions use stock, the differences are minimal.
I think 4.4ghz is the top speed for the non-K model, while 4.6ghz is typically seen as the K's usual all-core turbo level. The gap is just a small difference.
