i7 9700 no performance issues in Warzone assistance
Hi, I'm looking for advice on achieving stable 4520 MHz under heavy load. I currently have an i7 9700 without the K model and a Z390 Pro with two 8-core HyperX DDR4 16GB RAM at 3149 MHz (settings: 15, 18, 18, 40). I'm using an AIO ASUS ROG Strix LC 120mm water cooler, a case air cooler, a 750W Gold Cooler Master PSU, and a GBU 2070 Super. The frame is black, and I've had good performance around 102.70. During intense CPU gaming like Warzone, I notice low performance and feel like the CPU is hitting 100%. I suspect this might be due to voltage issues, so I'm using 1.35V, with the CPU at 1.25V, IO at 1.25V, and LLC speed step disabled. The speed shift is off. I'm wondering what safe overclock settings would be for my i7 9700 without K and voltages in the 72-78°C range, especially since I rarely reach 81-84°C.
It's not the clock speed. You're not utilizing hyperthreading enough for a CPU-heavy game like Warzone.
