The 2600K works, but for an upgrade you might want a Ryzen 3 3100 or similar.

The main performance isn't too poor on the Westmere Xeons. After overclocking, they match up well with Ryzen 5 1600 or earlier Intel models. Upgrading from i7-920 to a 6c/12t Xeon seems worthwhile. They offer more cores and use a newer 32nm process, which helps them stay cooler.

The 2600k is set to stock while the 920 is at 4.6. That should make them similar, right?
