A safe starting voltage for your i7-8700K with Corsair H115i Pro should be around 1.8 to 2.2 volts. Keep in mind, higher voltages can increase power delivery but also risk damage if not managed properly.

Relies on your chip and motherboard. Usually begin low, raising by 0.05V steps. I have 4.8Ghz at 1.28V, I can handle 4.9 at 1.31/1.32 roughly, but that's beyond typical safe ranges considering my cooler and room temperature. Stay under 1.35 and it should work. Also test each VoltageBump or multiplier change thoroughly for stability. Happy hunting!

I pushed mine overclocked but had to slow it down a bit due to memory controller problems after 18 months. The voltage I used was 1.44V, not the full 24/7, so I suggested capping it at 1.40V. At that setting, 5.1Ghz ran smoothly and stayed cool. Heat was the main issue, but I got an extra 200Mhz when things were stable. My motherboard was a weak one—some people manage 5Ghz at 1.35V, which would be great.

It took close to 1.38 seconds to reach 5GHz 0AVX. The issue appears resolved on Conductonaut. It has worked well for about four years now.
