HZ isn’t really important. It comes down to the actual gameplay. I’ve seen 1080 with mine on a game like Black Ops 4 hit all cores at 100%, which is why I skipped the 1080Ti. The stutter was terrible, just like people say about SLI. If games are that bad and the new cards perform well, it could be a performance concern. But maybe you’ll get by if you cap frames.
