I just turned it off to check what would happen and my speed kept dropping to 1.87 etc. I expected it to stay at 4.69 all the time.
and the speed still drops to 4.20 when under load. I’m not sure why. Is it trying for higher voltages?

It's not about voltages, could be an ASUS configuration. What is your LLC setting at... try 6 or 7? Also, increase the vcore to 1.30v first before reducing it. Let me know if you notice a drop in frequency with that setting.

I prefer not to adjust many settings, tbh. I didn't touch LLC. Let's start with Level 6. Also, it's currently 4.8 with a 1.28 rating. I haven't included those 4095 values yet; let me try those first, then I'll set the voltage at 1.30.

It seems we just need to adjust the dropping frequency to 4.4GHz. Run a double test using AIDA to check temperatures and CPU speed. If it's running at 4.8GHz during testing, everything is okay.

Not the end of the world... Go back to your preferred settings and try again. It might take some time. My Gigabyte Z370 Gaming 7 motherboard took me a while to master the BIOS and configurations, dealing with several blue screens before I got it right.

I tested with 1.30 voltage at 4.8. Kept other settings same, ran Aida for 3 minutes. CPU was 65 with package 70-72. Used Aisuite (Asus software) at 65-66 degrees. No blue screens. Current speed is 4.77. If speed stays stable, it looks good.

Additionally, the details about CPU core voltage and CPU VID voltage are provided. One is 1.264 and the other is 1.368, with variations of ±0.020.

The system restarted itself after eight minutes. I'll attempt 1.26 at 4.7 with identical configurations. Llc and 4095 configuration.

At least you managed to get it running at full speed, bringing us closer to stability. I’m in agreement to drop down to 4.7GHz and keep an eye on temperatures. The LLC part plays a big role here as it helps stabilize and accounts for vdroop where the voltage drops temporarily.

I plan to test at 4.7GHz with an increased Vcore up to 1.28v, then try again for stability using AIDA for five minutes... before giving it a rest until tomorrow. It’s 11:23 in London, so I’ll collapse soon or my wife will beat me!

I’ll do some research on your motherboard tomorrow and bring back some settings that have worked before.
