When you input zero or skip an item, it automatically sets it to AUTO. I’m relying on past examples since I don’t have current power constraints.

Adjust the long and short duration power caps to 4095 as recommended. This is the highest allowed setting. Avoiding power limit restrictions is key. Several Asus boards adopt this number during overclocking.

AVX Offset works only when an AVX task is present. It reduces the CPU speed by the specified amount. With a 5.2GHz processor, using an offset of 3 during AVX workload drops the multiplier to 4.9GHz. Setting it to 0 keeps everything at 5.2GHz. The cache ratio differs from the CPU ratio. Adjusting cache settings should be around 30-40% lower than the CPU speed. Running at a 1:1 ratio often leads to problems. Consider stress testing with HWiNFO to verify thermal throttling on VRMs or motherboard cooling. This board has minimal VRM cooling, which is concerning. You can also set power limits to maximum and disable auto-adjustment. The cache frequency is around 4300 MHz. Target settings should match: CPU at 5200 MHz, cache at 4300 MHz, BCLK at 100 MHz.

CBR23 is intended for testing purposes and reaches up to 4.7ghz. Right AVX 0. You know the drill.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. The CPU isn’t throttling due to heat, it’s actually running at a higher temperature under load. I’ll check the VRMs later. The lowest AVX offset is 1—zero would disable auto optimization. I need to figure out what to do regarding power usage and I’ll also look into other potential issues before tomorrow, since it’s late and my Ryzen order hasn’t arrived yet.
