Hi, I'm looking to overclock my i7 8086k to 5GHz. Can you give advice on whether it's safe to do this on a non-delided CPU? I'm new to overclocking and not used to high temperatures, so I want to know the limits and what's ideal. I'm currently at around 50°C while gaming with a 240mm Corsair AIO.
Can you assist me with the information about setting up the bios, testing software compatibility, and understanding temperature ranges? I also need guidance on what temperatures to seek or avoid, especially regarding 5GHz performance on different LLC 5 and 6 devices.
I struggle to locate a suitable location for my i7 8086k at 5GHz with Vcore @44. Stress testing usually results in blue screens lasting 1 to 5 minutes.
I've experimented with 5GHz, AVX 0 offset, 1.280-1.3v, Level 5 and 6 settings, but I still encounter blue screens or temperatures reaching 88°C. Even adjusting the AVX offset from 1 to 3 on past tests leads to faster blue screens during CineBench.
