i7-7800x with eight RAM modules
Hello everyone, I'm checking if someone is using a 7800x with eight sticks of RAM and whether it works. Thanks!
It's a four-channel module, meaning two slots per channel are sufficient.
The fewest CPUs that block RAM ports on X299 boards are the i7-7740X and i5-7640X. The rest of the X299 chips generally work with 8 dimms.
