Hey there,
I'm trying to push my CPU overclock but it's stuck at 4.5MHz instead of what I want.
I have these specs and I'm using an H110i cooler.
In the BIOS it lists 5, but when I save and exit it doesn't update in CPUID CPU-Z or HWiNFO64, and the changes disappear after a restart.
Sometimes my PC freezes, maybe because of that.
Any tips would be great!

Maybe your chip won't reach 4.8. Silicone lottery... 1.35V at 4.8GHz might be possible. Then reduce the voltage until it becomes unstable. What methods have you used? Rodolphe.

Hi MugiwaraX,
Some chips can't reach 5GHz, you know, it's like a silicon lottery....
But he needs to go even further than 4.5GHz.
What is your voltage setting at 4.5GHz?
Is it manual or automatic?
Once we figure that out, we'll create a plan to surpass 4.5GHz!!
Rodolphe.

I'm trying to see if it can run above 4.5, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm not sure why, but I think my cooling system should handle it. Now I'm checking with 1.312 vol to rule out that issue.

Are you employing manual/fixed voltage? If yes, you may set 1.35V and attempt a 4.6GHz frequency. Please inform us.
Rodolphe.

I adjusted the voltage to 1.35V and set the frequency to 4.6kHz, yet the results remained unchanged, though the temperature rose significantly from 74 to 89 under stress.

Your CPU runs at 4.4GHz
Is your system using an AVX offset?
It seems odd that it isn't trying to proceed...
Could you share a screenshot of your BIOS settings?
Rodolphe.

Do you have an AVX offset enabled?
It's odd it doesn't want to go higher...

I've received some updates.
I turned off the XMP profile now; the multiplier shows 8-50, suggesting a conflict might be happening... I'm not sure if I should manually overclock the RAM since I can't use XMP?
BUT! it still stops at 4400 but now I can see the multiplier range is 8-50 instead of 8-45 before... I changed the max CPU frequency to 5000 and set the power management to 100% maximum, but that didn't help.

You might turn off the turbo boost feature since it appears to restrict your cores to 4.4GHz when all cores are working under stress.
This happens because the settings seem inconsistent—45 for one core and 44 for others.
Please let me know what you think.
Rodolphe.
