Hello, I'm just starting with overclocking and wanted to know if upgrading my PSU to 800+w would be a good idea.

I've boosted my i7-7700K to 5.0 on air with only the Arctic Freezer i32 driven by the Corsair CX650M. I'm unsure why you'd require over 800W unless you're using several GPUs.

It seems 750w should be sufficient. Appreciate the clarification.

The TX750M is sufficient unless there are issues with it.

Everything seems fine. It’s probably just a bit of paranoia since this is my first time creating an OC for the i7 7700k. The 1.230v in adaptive mode looks good, and temperatures stay between 70 to 75°C, not reaching 80°C.

The temperatures are quite acceptable. This matches what I observed during the Prime95 load test:

I was reaching core temperatures around 78°C with my relatively inexpensive air cooler, the Arctic Freezer i32. I swapped the original fan on that cooler for a cougar CF-V12HPB.

Nice
😀
I prefer not to crank my CPU up to 5ghz. I’m okay with 4.8ghz; my main tasks are browsing and some light gaming.
