Hi, I attempted to overclock my new PC last night and using ASRocks EZ OC caused the machine to start clicking near the CPU/heatsink. I have an EVGA G1 650 watt PSU, an i7 6700k GTX 1080, and an ASRock Z170A-X1 motherboard. Thanks!

The overclocking itself shouldn't generate any noise. But it might make your CPU cooler run harder, which increases the sound. I recommend verifying that the CPU cooler is correctly installed or even reinstalling it to be certain. Also, ensure no cables are obstructing the case when closing it. If this doesn't fix the issue, we can explore other solutions.
