i7-5820K presenta problemi di sovrallenamento e dubbi
Hello, I'm just starting with overclocking and noticed XTU offers a straightforward method. I successfully boosted my 5820k to around 3.9 to 4.1ghz, but I hit a ceiling. My core voltage is fixed at 1.300v and all cores max out at 4.2ghz, yet I'm encountering current/EDP limits that restrict performance. I have no thermal or power throttling issues, my temperatures stay between 50 to 60°C, but I'm unsure how to bypass this EDP cap. Can you help? My motherboard model is X99 WIFI G1.
I don't understand... the EDP limit remains displayed, but I found out that when I keep increasing the multiplier, the GHz keeps going up even though throttling is on, which is confusing. For example, if I set the multiplier to 43 times my CPU, it runs at 4.2 GHz, and if I set it to 42 times the CPU, it runs at 4.1 GHz. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
