Hi, I have a curious problem where my overclocked i7 4790k (4.4ghz) is displaying a max of 4.81ghz while gaming. I'm wondering if this is due to the i7 turboboosting 400mhz on top of 4.4ghz, or if it's a glitch in the activity monitor. (i7 4790k, Hyper 212 evo, MSI Z97 G45, sapphire r9 390 nitro, Antec 750 watt psu)

Gamer1985 :
^^ he asked about the software you're using to check your frequency. I thought about installing CPU-Z to view core frequency at idle and under load.
I was just using Activity Monitor, thanks!
Consider MSI Afterburner if you need temperature and usage details.

Checking the setup to see if turbo is off and confirming 4.8Ghz performance, what monitoring tool are you using?

Sergeant_Sneaky is checking if the turbo setting remains at 4.8Ghz and inquires about the monitoring device being used. They mention using the "Acer G226HQL 21.5-Inch Screen LED Monitor."
