I own a Chinese motherboard, specifically the Machinist B75 Pro U5. The manual mentioned supports Intel Core i3/i5/i7 from the 2nd or 3rd generation, Xeon E3 v2, Pentium and Celeron series. It seems to function well with an i5 3470s CPU. Recently, I upgraded to an i7 3770k and it performed excellently for gaming. However, when I installed the i7 in another old HP office computer (HP Compaq Pro 4300, same socket), the system failed immediately after turning it on—four beeps followed by no video, no boot, and no BIOS. I assumed the CPU might be faulty. After testing it on a different machine, the i7 worked fine. Possible reasons could include differences in power delivery or thermal management. According to Intel and other sites, the i7 3770k is compatible with this board. Key differences noted are thread count (8 vs 4), base frequency (3.50 vs 2.90 GHz), cache size (8 vs 6 MB), and power usage (77W vs 65W). These specs might be relevant. The "official" Machinist site confirms compatibility, but the warning beeps could signal a hardware issue. I’m unsure about the meaning of those beeps and don’t find any documentation online. It's probably missing from the BIOS's supported CPUs. Unless you locate a different BIOS that explicitly mentions 3770k support, it's unlikely to work for most other configurations.

After several trials, I found a working fix. The i7 3770k ran smoothly on the Machinist B75 Pro board, though I had to swap out the RAM. It seemed the Kingstone's Fury HyperX modules didn’t fit with this CPU, so I used generic Hynix RAM instead. Once the replacement was done, the PC booted up and the BIOS recognized everything correctly. I didn’t receive any help from the official support team.
It's not about the chip being incompatible with RAM, the problem lies in the board's BIOS not recognizing the RAM. The way the BIOS configures itself with your sticks might be causing the chip to fail. Also, don't wait too long for their response to your question.
