It would work well. A GTX 1070 would complement the CPU nicely, avoiding performance problems.

If it's a K variant with heavy overclocking, then yes. A 4.5GHz boost isn't much for a 2600k, but sometimes I push it to 1070 at normal speeds.

The limitation in a non-K variant combined with a 1070 remains near 13%, which isn’t a significant problem. Reaching 20% would then indicate a concern.

You're experiencing performance issues while gaming with your Ryzen 1600 and GTX 1070. Here are some potential causes and steps to verify if it's a bottleneck:

- Check CPU utilization: Use tools like Task Manager or AMD Advisor to see if the GPU is under heavy load.
- Compare performance: Run benchmark tests (e.g., Cinebench) to compare with previous hardware.
- Monitor temperatures: Ensure both components aren't overheating, which can affect stability.
- Test with different games: Some titles may strain the GPU more than others.

To confirm a bottleneck, ensure your GPU is not being overused and that your CPU matches or exceeds the GPU's capabilities.
