Hello. Your specs show a MasterWatt 450w TUF PSU from CoolerMaster. You're experiencing performance issues with your CPU across several games, including CS GO, Insurgency, Apex Legends, Hitman 2016, and others. The GPU stays cool at 53°C, but FPS drops significantly, especially in lower settings or on older maps. You've tried everything—maximum performance mode, BIOS updates, antivirus scans. It might be related to the CPU underperforming or a GPU bottleneck. Consider running a full system diagnostic and checking for background processes that could be draining resources.

Use a second identical stick to enable dual-channel operation, which boosts RAM and CPU performance.

I considered it. However, many online users claim it offers no more than a 5% improvement. I won’t purchase another stick since I believe it’s time to switch to a new motherboard and a Ryzen 3600 soon. Thanks.

Dual channel RAM can occasionally increase frame rates by as much as 30%. Choose dual channel; the idea that it’s limited to just 5% isn’t accurate.

Only limited progress is possible with the i7-2600. If I were you, I wouldn’t invest more in DDR3. Plan for a better CPU/MB/RAM instead.

If you locate a stick for something absurd such as $5 or $10, proceed and attempt dual channel. The only possible outcome is losing $10.
