Front panel features three intake vents and one exhaust at the rear. The radiator vents run through the top, while the side panel offsets the cooling performance. Although the glass limits front airflow, removing it still maintains similar temperatures. I believe this component requires additional cooling capacity beyond what a 240W unit provides. My previous setup used a 7700k, and the 240W was sufficient, so I probably didn’t investigate it thoroughly enough.

Occasionally the dam CPU experiences a performance hiccup, like when Linus adjusted it to 5GHz turbo and it jumped to 5.3GHz. Consider starting from the factory base speed or reducing by about 0.1GHz if needed.

You should adjust the stock clock speeds yourself instead of letting it auto-boost. Just to be sure, does this cooler support a steady 4.8GHz?

I have it running at 4.8 locked. 1.28 volts. Temps are fine for the most part. Only hits high 80s in certain loads. This is acceptable until I get the new cooler in.

If it's locked, try to unlock it so you can experiment this, like if you have a friend with an i7 or something similar and you can borrow it.

It's a K series chip, but I set the voltage to stop it from jumping to 1.35 Vcore by chance. Right now I'm restricted thermally, so I can't do any overclocking.
