Hi everyone! Thanks for your support and for sharing your info. I've never done overclocking before.
I'm planning a modest upgrade from 3.4 to 4.0GHZ and 4.4GHZ turbo.
I understand CPUs vary, but I just want improved performance without pushing the limits.
If you have any advice, I'd really appreciate it. 😊

My current setup:
- i5 4670K 3.4GHZ / 3.8GHZ turbo
- GA-Z87-HD3
- GTX 970 MSI GAMING 4G
- 8GB RAM (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance
- PSU Corsair CX750M

From what I know, a better cooler than the one that came with the chip should be ideal.
Could you recommend something?
Should I consider upgrading my PSU?
Is it a good idea to overclock this build?
Thanks a lot!

Initially, never use software to overclock; it always increases voltage beyond what's safe. As per your advice, either go for 4.0 or 4.4 overclocking, but 4.0 won't give you a 4.4 turbo speed—it doesn't function that way. The Cryorig H7 outperforms the Hyper 212 in performance and has no clearance problems, which is exactly what I need.

Well, the CM 212 EVO is perfect for this task.
The PSU you have will handle it too.
For overclocking, begin with the auto tune feature (or whatever they refer to as in gygabite). This will bring you up to 4GHz.
