Hi
I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions. I own an i5 6600k and have been trying to overclock it, but so far only managed a stable 4.0ghz. Others seem to be achieving 4.6 or higher. I’m not too concerned about pushing it too high, but I want a noticeable boost since I have a good liquid cooler and want to get the most out of it. Could you explain why I keep seeing blue screens at that speed?

What voltages and motherboard are being discussed? 4.6 seems demanding, but I suggest targeting 4.4Ghz—it's almost ideal for the 6600k. If it stays stable, you can either reduce the voltage or raise the multiplier to 45. Just ensure your temperatures are under control.

Aladdad is asking about the required voltages and motherboard specifications. He suggests targeting around 4.4Ghz as optimal for the 6600k, recommending a 1.3v with a multiplier of 44 if stability is confirmed, or adjusting to 45 if temperatures are acceptable.

I own an asus maximus hero viii mb with 16gb ddr4 ram, 3000mhz processor, and a 240 watercooler. I’m planning to test these configurations when I return. If it doesn’t work, could there be issues with the components?
