Hello, your current 11600K i5 is delivering great performance for gaming, running smoothly and efficiently. You're wondering how the 11700KF i7 compares, especially since Userbench mentions just a slight improvement of about 2%. That's relatively minor, right?

Friends don't let friends use Userbenchmark. It's comparisons are hilariously unreliable and inconsistent across the site (there's one set of comparisons, i believe 7700k, 5960x, and i3 9100, where the 7700k is faster than the 5960X, the 5960X is faster than the 9100F, and the 9100F is faster than the 7700k. Specifics are probably wrong, but there's at least one comparison like that). Still, for gaming the difference between the i5 and i7 is not much at all. Games don't really use more than 6 cores, so unless you do something for work that uses 8 cores or more going for the 11700k isn't worth it.

Userbench isn't linked to any reference material. In the 11 series, i7 chips boast more cores than i5 chips. The same core count, but with a higher total. Your i5 comes with 6 physical cores (hyper-threaded, giving 12 threads). The i7 offers 8 cores (16 threads). For games and programs needing more than 6 cores, the i7 performs better. The number after the model number indicates it lacks an integrated graphics card. K means it supports overclocking. Your i5 includes an Intel integrated graphics, while the i7 11700KF does not.

agree. only for game. let say you want to stream or opening multiple shit while game. or editing. then 8 core is amazing. but even tho 6 core is enough for everyhting

It's also accurate; six cores work well for gaming. For the titles I use, CPU load stays near 40% and never goes higher.

It's similar to having around six threads. Even then, threads zero through two or three typically handle the main work, aside from a few exceptions, while threads three to five or seven might manage lighter tasks. This means 90 percent of games remain unaffected by hyperthreaded quad cores, though some may still struggle. Overall, hyperthreaded hexacores can handle resources efficiently, as a background process that only uses a core or thread at 15% sharing with iCUE or a browser tab won't impact your frame rate.
