Here’s a rewritten version of the text, aiming for clarity and conciseness:
When building a PC, consider your needs and budget. The i5-8400 is a solid processor that offers good value, especially if gaming isn't your top priority. For other tasks, it performs well. However, the Ryzen 2600 generally provides better overall performance.
To choose a motherboard, select one compatible with your CPU’s socket and chipset, considering desired features. The i5-8400 works with most 300 series Intel chipsets.
If gaming is crucial, the i5-8400 might be a slightly better choice than the Ryzen 2600, especially if you can find it at a lower price. If budget allows, explore the Ryzen options as they often offer superior performance for tasks outside of intensive gaming.

When building a PC, consider your needs and budget. For an i5-8400 processor, you have many motherboard options with 300 series chipsets. The Ryzen 2600 is generally better for overall performance but isn’t ideal for gaming. If gaming is the priority, the i5-8400 remains a solid choice. However, if you can find it cheaper, the Ryzen 2600 might be worth considering. For motherboards, prioritize features and choose a reputable brand with the appropriate socket and chipset for your processor. A GTX 1070 or RTX 2060 will work well with either processor.
