GT 610 runs quite slowly, so it's fine for games. Your CPU could handle a much quicker card.

It's also worth noting that the built-in graphics perform significantly better, though you can always verify it by connecting the monitor directly to the motherboard rather than using a GPU.

Currently, the hd630 in your CPU is significantly quicker. But don't overestimate its performance since it wasn't designed for gaming. It's better suited as a standard display for office and web activities.

The i5 8400 is considered a decent chip now, but it might disappoint the GT610. I recommend pairing it with an RX580 8GB and a Tier 'C' power supply from the old list.

Upgrading to dual channel memory will likely make your CPU's integrated graphics surpass the GT 610. Keep in mind that without a Z370 or Z390 board, you're restricted to DDR4-2666 RAM speeds.

You might fit a neatly trimmed cardboard sheet into the PCIe x16 port and think you're getting better speed than a GT610. But those are actually some of the least impressive boards ever made.
