i5-7600k at 4.8 GHz with an overclock setting of 1.2V?
Hi everyone, I'm a new overclocker just starting out. I recently built my first system and have been experimenting with overclocking. I manually set the voltage to 1.2V and gradually increased the core clock to check performance. I was told a 4.6GHz boost at that voltage is solid, so I kept pushing it. Now I'm at 4.8GHz with 1.2V, and after about an hour of stress testing with Realbench, my PC is still running around 75°C with the air cooler. Is this typical? Am I overclocking correctly or am I just lucky?
Performing well is great. I’ll confirm stability using a Prime95 version 26.6 test for around 15 minutes, along with the RealBench you’ve already run. It looks like you likely have a strong CPU...silcone lottery win!!!
Thanks for your question! I wanted to confirm whether it's safe to proceed with prime95, considering its recent updates. It seems some users think it might be problematic due to high resource demands... Was 26.6 still a viable option? Are there additional stress tests you recommend?
