I was planning to purchase a new CPU, but after watching some videos I discovered that my i5 760 works well when overclocked. I'm really satisfied with the CPU and only play Valve and Blizzard multiplayer games, so do you think I should save up and buy a better CPU like the 6600K in 2017 and attempt to overclock my i5 760 (purchasing an 212x)?

Are you using the stock cooler?
Yes, but I can get a 212x version which would be useful later when I upgrade.
The stock cooler won't allow me to overclock high enough to notice performance gains.
That's why I'm planning to buy an aftermarket one.
I think it will be necessary to overclock it so water cooling becomes essential. I recommend the Corsair h50i

You're using the built-in cooler, but I think a 212x would be helpful for future upgrades.

Yes, I am, but I could purchase a 212x version which would be helpful for future upgrades.
The stock cooler won't allow you to overclock sufficiently to assess performance.

Dynomite54 is asking if you are using the built-in cooler.
They confirm they are using it but mention they could purchase a more powerful 212x model for future upgrades.
They believe the stock cooler limits performance and suggest buying an aftermarket unit instead.
