Hello everyone, I have a question. I've been away from computers for some time, so I'm not familiar with Skylake anymore. I'm trying to check if the temperature is okay and if I'm using a stock cooler. The settings are 4.2ghz at 1.195v in BIOS. I'm not sure if it's stable over an 8-hour period or using Linux, but it works for me and I can do whatever I want.

70*C is acceptable. I favor anything below 80C, ideally 70*C if possible.

The temperatures seem acceptable, but after running RealBench the temps jumped to as high as 68 degrees Celsius. That's not too concerning, though they could be better with a Hyper 212 and Intel Stock Coolers aren't usually advised for OC.

Sure, maybe I can reduce the volume a bit, but we still need to test it. Better will be a better cooler and we can see how far we can go.

I'm aware of that, this is the highest I've achieved with the stock cooler—maybe lowering the voltage could help. If it stays stable, I don't need to run benchmarks or stress tests right now.

after some testing i have everything running smoothly at 4.2ghz with 1.170v in bios. since msi doesn't offer the option for llc out, it gives me a cpu-z reading of 1.176v and under load it increases to 1.184v
