Hey everyone, I just got a Gigabyte RTX 2070 but am facing some performance bottlenecks with my Core i5 6600. I was hoping to upgrade the CPU, but I’m curious if I can push my current i5 to higher speeds. I’ve read that Non-K CPUs from the Skylake line can be overclocked by adjusting the BCLK. I tried boosting it to 102.5Mhz and even increased the core voltage, but the PC won’t boot. I’ve changed a few settings—turned off CPU turbo, adjusted SVID support, synced cores, disabled C-state stuff, and set LLC to 5/7—but nothing seems to work. The i5’s stock speed is 3.30GHz, it can turbo up to 3.60GHz, so is there a chance I can get it to run at 4GHz? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!
