You could experience some variation in the CPU performance by increasing the BCLK, though the effects might be minimal - everything should still function properly.

Didn't Intel eliminate the chance for non-K BCLK OC a few months ago? At least you'll likely need to search for an older BIOS version, which comes with its own drawbacks. Anyway, if you're serious about making changes, consider checking out a 6600k and Z170-mobo...
