I increased the clock speed of my i5 6500 (4.5ghz), using Intel Burner, and it ran smoothly for more than an hour. The motherboard confirms it's overclocked, but CPU-Z, Task Manager, and real temperature readings don't reflect this change. Is this a software issue or is the CPU not actually overclocked? Thanks for any further advice.

Achieving a 4.5ghz overclock for Skylake BCLK is feasible using the appropriate BIOS on a Z170 motherboard.
