I5-4690k overclocking details: maximum safe settings, temperature ranges, and voltage specifications.
Hello, I have my i5-4690k running at 4.6 Ghz with a voltage of 1.295V. I thought about pushing it further. I have a custom Waterloop installed, so cooling isn't an issue. I'm curious about the optimal safe temperatures and voltages for this CPU. Here are my specifications: i5-4690k @4.6 Ghz 1.295V | 16 GB HyperX @OC 2600mhz | Msi Gaming R9 280 3Gb @OverClocked | CoolerMaster 600B Watt | Corsair Carbide R200 Modded by Kiro Gligorov | HDD: 1x 2.5 WD Blue 500 Gb / 1x 3.5 WD Blue 500 Gb | WaterCooled by Alphacool | Msi Gaming R9 280 / BackPlate Made by Kiro Gligorov | Bottom Case Plate Made by Kiro Gligorov l | HDD Front Plate Made by Kiro Gligorov | Case Window Made by Kiro Gligorov | Ram FrontPlate Made by Kiro Gligorov l See the pictures here: http://on.fb.me/1ybnqqz
Have you performed a stress test at version 4.6 already?
It’s important to execute prime95 with full processor utilization to confirm stability after each modification, which will also display your temperatures.
Have you already tested it under stress at 4.6?
You should run prime95 using full processor usage to confirm stability after each change, which will also display your temperatures.
I did report stable performance with a maximum of 60% on stress tests. The ambient temperature is around 19-20°C.

Have you tried stress testing it at 4.6 yet?
You should run prime95 using full processor usage to confirm stability after each change, which will also display your temperatures.
I did achieve stability with a maximum of 60% on stress tests now. The ambient temperature is around 19-20°C. So far, I'm getting the same CPU performance. I was curious about what OS you ended up installing.
Thanks
