Hi guys, I'm doing some overclocking with an i5 4670k and a hyper 212 EVO. Would you think this setup is stable?
25 runs on IBT at high settings, max temp reached 85°C with 1.21V on the CPU.
On OCCT, I get better temperatures.

OCCT would also run better at higher temperatures when using the Linpack, though the processor instructions in MS Visual are less preferred. If it's mainly for gaming, it's a solid choice.

ibt tends to stress the CPU beyond what's necessary. It serves well as a test for verifying thermal health, yet it isn't ideal for assessing stability. 13 hours of operation feels stable in my view.

Everything's good. My i5-4670k is overclocked to 4.6Ghz @ 1.25V with a Cooler Master GeminII 524. I don't often reach more than 80°C, except after finishing a Black Ops 3 game.

I tried 4.7 but it didn't work well. I managed to boot into Windows, but under heavy load it would crash right away. Great job with 4.7!

Andycal says everything is okay. Their i5-4670k is overclocked to 4.6Ghz at 1.25V with a Cooler Master GeminII 524. They usually stay under 80°C, except during intense Black Ops 3 sessions. If you're only gaming at around 80°C, they suggest reassessing the overclock or cooling setup.

I'm good, everything's working. My i5-4670k is overclocked to 4.6Ghz @ 1.25V with a Cooler Master GeminII 524. I don't usually hit more than 80C, except after finishing a Black Ops 3 session. If you're at around 80C while gaming, it might be time to reassess your overclock or cooling setup.

I discovered this the other day. The RAM sticks I was using weren't letting the heatsink touch the processor properly. I changed to Kingston HyperX and now the heatsink sits flat on my i5. Temperatures are down to the low 60s during games.
