Under heavy load, HWmonitor reports vcore at an average of 1.368.
Thanks.
That voltage is quite high. Unless you truly require the 4.9, I suggest reducing it slightly.

Thanks. That voltage is quite high. Unless you really need the 4.9, I’d suggest reducing it slightly.
Is 1.368 too high? I think 1.408 might be more suitable. Could you suggest a better value?

1.368 seems excessive; 1.408 might be more suitable. Could you suggest a better value?
The guideline for the Ivy Bridge is:
1.4 indicates it won’t last long
1.35 suggests a significant reduction is advisable as it’s in a risky range
1.3 means it could run for a few years but caution is needed
Values below 1.3 are acceptable.

Well 1.368 is a bit elevated but not suspicious, my brother had 3570k at 1.390 for 3-4 years without any issues. Just ensure your temperature stays below 85°C during prime95 and under 80°C during regular tasks like gaming or editing.

1.368 seems excessive; 1.408 might be more suitable. Would you like advice on a better value?
The guidelines for the Ivy Bridge are:
- 1.4 indicates it won’t last long
- 1.35 suggests it’s high and should be reduced as it’s in a risky range
- 1.3 means it could run for a couple of years but caution is needed
Anything below 1.3 is acceptable.
You mentioned that at 1.4 the CPU might fail within less than two years, and at 1.3 it would last about two years?
