You might be able to accommodate a Hyper 212 or an NH-U12S with a little extra room above the Hyper T2. The T2 isn't the best choice if you want something more capable.
I initially went with the Hyper 212, but PCpartpicker suggested it wouldn't fit in my case. I switched to the Hyper T2 instead. Once I installed that one, I think I might be able to fit the 212 if I leave the panel out, which could change my decision.
Ensure airflow remains unblocked. Confirm proper application of thermal paste. Observe CPU status via BIOS. If overheating occurs, it typically reaches 65°C or higher during idle in BIOS. Consider updating BIOS for improvements. Alternatively, clean your PC thoroughly—extreme heat may indicate a serious issue. Generally, processors handle high temperatures well (unless idle temps are unrealistic), especially with a properly installed cooler. Check room temperature; if you live in a hot area, it could be a concern. Verify the PC's placement—being on the floor might affect cooling.
Open the BIOS and attempt to adjust an offset undervolt between -50 mV and -100 mV. This may lower temperatures considerably. By default, all Intel CPUs draw excessive voltage, which is often not required. Follow these steps to apply a -75 mV undervolt on an Asus motherboard.
