Hello everyone,
Many comparisons focus only on the i5-1135G7 and Ryzen 5 4500U, showing a strong rivalry between them. However, I faced a decision between these two options: which one performs better? The i5-1135G7 with a dedicated Nvidia MX350 graphics card or the Ryzen 5 4500U? Assuming both have identical RAM (dual channel) and storage (same SSD size), which should I choose? Your advice is appreciated.

I would prefer an i5 plus mx350. You don't have to worry about the RAM speed or channel, because Intel handles it. AMD Apus are good when you need faster memory, especially above 3600mhz, which your laptop can't support that much. Also, RAM won't be counted as VRAM (for example, with 8 gigabytes, it's usually reduced to 6 gigabytes in most notebooks since 2 gigabytes is reserved for VRAM). So yeah, that's mainly why the i5 plus mx350 is better.

The Ryzen 5 4500U offers more physical cores and threads than the Intel i5-1135G7, which could enhance its multi-core performance. Additionally, the inclusion of an NVIDIA MX 350 may further support the Intel processor's capabilities in multi-core tasks.

Ensure you use all six cores for optimal performance. A 4-core 8-thread processor will suffice for most daily tasks, and the MX350 offers performance comparable to a GTX 960M.

Mostly correct, but for better CPU performance choose Ryzen, though this affects graphics quality.

The combined information from Intel and NVIDIA shows they outperform Ryzen in GPU performance. However, comparing an Intel i5 11th gen to a Ryzen might noticeably affect CPU performance during demanding tasks occasionally. Swapping NVIDIA for a CPU could also be costly economically. What are your thoughts on this?

TBH, im currently using a 4 Core 8 Thread cpu from 2012 (E3 1240 V2 a.k.a cheap i7), and it's still enough for me to do alot of multiple tasks. Video editing is in a OK cause i build this pc dirt cheap (cant complain much) while waiting on ddr5 platform to come
😀
My friend use 4500 and it got a little more FPS compared to my cpu with the same exact settings.

The intel+nvidia mx350 stands out. Appreciate the details. I was focused on maximizing performance from both options. Thanks.
