Looking into your setup, the Intel i5-10600 (non-K) should work with 3200MHz RAM via XMP on the Gigabyte Z490 UD AC. The site’s specs might be unclear, but the manufacturer’s guidance seems to suggest a maximum of 2666MHz for that processor.

It's possible. However, the IMC will manage 2666 and anything above is considered an overclock technically but it will reach 3200. Quick tip: choose a K SKU with a Z490 board. Avoid locking SKUs on this platform; instead, think about an A-Pro or a Tomahawk for better performance.

Based on the savings between 10,600k and 10,600, opt for the k model—probably the top gaming CPU for that price until Zen 3 arrives. For the Z490, consider the ASUS Prime-P or MSI-A.
