I improved my PC by swapping several components: CPU from 7700k to 12700k, motherboard from MSI Z270 to ASUS TUF Z690, power supply from CX750 to RM750, cooler from Corsair HD80i to Noctua NHD15. Despite these changes, none of my hard drives appear as bootable drives. In the BIOS all four drives are listed but none can be started. I haven’t been able to install a fresh Windows on any of them, even though they show up in the installation process. I recall a Windows update that severely damaged my system, so I reinstalled Windows onto my SSD. The previous installation never cleared out and still didn’t appear as a bootable drive after the latest update. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a happy holiday!

The latest motherboard comes with UEFI by default; you must switch it to Legacy mode to access the HDD.

The previous message mentioned disabling secure boot, ensuring the VMDI controller is off, checking NVMe slots for SATA mode, and expressed frustration with ASUS BIOS. Good luck!
