I upgraded my GPU, likely I should add more RAM. Any suggestions?
Hello everyone. I'm new to tech, and I have an ASUS Rog Strix RTX2060 with 6GB of gaming RAM. I'm thinking about adding more RAM and want to know if I should stick with the current setup or upgrade. The specs are: Windows 10 Home, 64-bit, from ASUSTeK. My system has 8 CPUs, a 3.4GHz processor, and about 3.4GB of memory. The page file is using 8403MB out of 8118MB total. From Intel's site, the max RAM size depends on type, but they mention 64GB as an upper limit. They list two RAM channels and a bandwidth of 34.1GB/s. I checked with CPU-Z and it showed exactly 2133Hz for DDR4 RAM. I don’t plan to overclock, so I’m wondering if using 16GB of DDR4 at 2400Hz is possible or if sticking with 2133Hz is safer. There are some 2133Hz DDR4 options nearby, but they seem outdated, while 2400Hz sticks are more common. Your suggestions would be really helpful!
You can use a 2400mhz stick and it will operate at 2133mh...it should function properly.
