System Specifications
Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H WiFi, Revision 1.3
BIOS Versions Evaluated: F68g (current), F64 (reverted)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
Power Supply: Corsair RM850e (2023) 850W Gold, fully modular
RAM Experiments:
Mushkin Redline DDR4 (16GB package)
New DDR4 32GB kit (two sticks, individually tested)
Storage Experiments:
Mushkin SSD (previous model)
New SSD (model Crucial P310, NVMe)
GPU: Radeon RX 6750 XT
Cooling/Case: operational, provides adequate airflow
Issues Reported:
Windows installer frequently stops with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR.
Occasionally reaches language or keyboard screen, other times crashes during update checks.
Rear USB connections have always failed from the start (non-responsive in BIOS and Windows).
Front panel ports remain functional.
Crash screens resembling rainbows appear in VR before the issues arise.
Boot times become slow or unstable after BIOS flashing.
Attempted Solutions:
Performed multiple Windows installs (using USB via Media Creation Tool, formatted FAT32).
Utilized various USB drives and ports (only front panel remains usable).
Cleared CMOS / reset BIOS to prioritize boot order.
Adjusted settings: disabled/activated CSM, Secure Boot for both UEFI and legacy modes.
Tested single RAM sticks in A2 and B2 with both Mushkin and new kits.
Modified XMP/EXPO settings to default JEDEC speeds.
Compared old Mushkin SSD with new SSD – same crash patterns observed.
Offline installation (no updates, disconnected network) still resulted in crashes.
Reinstalled Windows after a complete drive wipe – installer failed again.
Reflashed BIOS using Q-Flash – no resolution.
Switched PSU to the new Corsair RM850e (previously Gamemax 650W) – no improvement.
Present Status:
Reliable access to BIOS is achieved.
Windows installation consistently fails before reaching completion (typically at language/update stage).
Front panel USB ports are the only functional ones.
WHEA errors continue to occur.

Looks like the motherboard might be failing. Check if the memory slots are clean. Run a memory test with Memtest86+. Also, try installing Windows 10 or Linux (like LinuxMint Cinnamon).

Hi, perhaps resetting the CMOS will get the PC running with default settings. Then, if you have another computer, download the Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft and use Rufus to make a bootable USB with GPT Partitions to install Windows this way. If that doesn’t work, please share your results and any issues you encounter. I’ve used this method on both old and new PCs without any operational problems. Just a suggestion. Thanks.

It's clear the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR issue usually points to a hardware fault. Given the rear USB ports aren't functioning, it seems the motherboard is likely the problem. I'd suggest testing on another computer or asking someone to install a Linux distribution like Linux Mint. Running it from the USB drive without installation can help identify if the system crashes or fails, which would confirm a hardware issue and focus the investigation there.
