So i used to play Minecraft when i was about 7-10 or something i got on when 1.3. something was out and stopped around 1.9 something but one of my friends got me back into it and i was looking at the "Realms" and just thought to myself what the fuck is this shit I remember when you had to pay a 3 party company to run one and once you payed once they would never charge you again it was your server and you ran it off your own PC and internet not off of Microsoft servers and there servers are very far way from me and so this service would be shit I remember hours of priceless gaming. I was disgusted and started to look further into this shit and found out that you could only have 10 fucking players i nearly threw my computer across the room I once had 200 people on one fucking server and running at full speed with mods and shit it was a fucking power house omg great times but this shit makes me want to bar. ugh utter shit! (sorry about grammar i was very angry) tell me what you guys think.

The entire Realms experience is designed for players to enjoy games together without needing to manage a live server. Since many gamers don’t have numerous friends, the 10-player cap makes sense. I’d suggest setting up your own server rather than purchasing Realm—you’ll have far more control and flexibility. It also costs only what you pay for electricity, provided you have solid hardware and a stable internet connection.

I no longer play Minecraft, though I believe it has both advantages and disadvantages. For example, you can't be scammed anymore, but control has shifted to the developers. Personally, I don’t have enough information to decide for myself.

Realms = basic concept for ease. You retain the ability to operate your own server. I maintain multiple internal servers that I occasionally share with others.

It seems like you're explaining your situation. You mentioned being the first to have a server and that you live in a small town.

I looked for details but found nothing relevant on those specific platforms.

I don't think you were the first to set up a server, but here I see it as a more probable choice in your area. I really like servers over singleplayer; you get a different vibe when playing with others compared to soloing. Sure, you can do anything alone, but projects take forever. With a server, you can bring together many friends and enjoy activities together, which I think makes multiplayer the best experience.

Realms works well for small groups of three to seven players. However, it tends to be expensive—my server cost just two dollars to host Minecraft for ten players.

Is it a charming little place or a tough spot?
