I changed the formatting because my PC was behaving oddly. I used a CD for Windows to complete the setup, entered the product key, and connected to the internet. After installing drivers, I encountered an error saying my key was blocked. I searched the error code online, watched a video, and opened Command Prompt to run the installer with the correct key. It resolved the issue. Is your Windows currently activated?

You might also try SLUI/4 for phone activation.

You're asking about why your Windows appears to be turned on.

Updated the discussion to the "Operating Systems and Software" category. The main change was entering the Windows product key via the command line rather than using the interface.

It doesn't seem to be working unless Windows starts on its own, which it attempts after some time. Check the 'System' panel, at the bottom, to see if Windows is active.
