I just opened up and left my PC running overnight to install games. When I woke up, I noticed the VGA light was on. I checked the monitor and saw nothing. After turning off and then back on the PSU, it started cycling a few times before turning on. I’m concerned because this hasn’t happened before. All drivers are current. I should note that the VGA light appears during every third to second boot, but the PC still works. This issue began after I changed my GPU. Also, my BIOS settings seem to have reset back to defaults. Edit: When I first turned it on, the fans spun even though there was no display. — W1ind3x, August 11, 2023

It appears odd that the system powered down unexpectedly. It’s been a while since you upgraded your GPU. Additionally, the CMOS battery might be depleted after a recent BIOS reset.

What are your PC specifications? Updated: Learned in another discussion – MOBO B450 Aorus Elite v2 CPU, R5 3600, 2x16 RAM Corsair Vengeance Pro at 3200MHz, Power Supply Be Quiet Straight, PSU 650W, X570 motherboard. The RX 6700 X is from Sapphire. Have you tried setting memory to stock and just testing it?

I changed it roughly four weeks back. What does a dead CMOS battery mean? I'm not familiar with that term.

It might occur. On the mobile device there is a CR2032 battery, simply replace it.

Checking the specifications: 3200MHz clock speed, 1.35V DRAM voltage, using only primary timings, with auto voltage enabled on the memory controller.

I adjusted the voltage to 1.4V and the frequency to 3200MHz. I have two 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB lights at 3200MHz, and the rest remains on auto.

It seems you're asking about troubleshooting a CMOS battery issue and whether the VGA light persists during restarts. Make sure the original GPU is reinstalled if needed, then check if the VGA indicator stays on after each boot.
