I tried CSGO for the first time this evening.
I love OpTic Gaming, their recent CS:GO acquisition with FaZe is impressive. I bought the whole bundle for $7.50 on Steam and had a great time playing, even though I'm not the best at it. I’m writing this to explore the eSports scene in CSGO and see how it compares to other games. I’m mostly familiar with Call of Duty but want to broaden my knowledge. Who are the top teams and players? Which regions are strong? Any insights would be great!
It was quite intense, but they recently lost their spot in the next big event, placing them in a transitional phase. There were also conflicts that caused some top teams to split up and change their lineups. I really don’t know who the strongest squad is at the moment.
Some players aimed for simple contests to secure big profits, while Titan likely disbanded due to financial trouble after a player's ban and sponsor withdrawals.
They were pulled for using a game to get skins, which is disappointing. They were strong contenders in the competitive scene and likely the top NA team capable of challenging big European teams like EnVyUs and Fnatic. Out of the five, four faced permanent bans and one joined Cloud 9. The best teams I’d mention are EnVyUs and Fnatic. Virtus Pro has been playing a bit underwhelming recently, but they remain a solid team overall.
They're definitely a NA group, but they joined members from the French LDLC team, turning them into a European-focused squad. Just like FaZe did with the G2 team before, they're acquiring a European presence. I'm really excited to see when FaZe stickers launch.
Are the COD players from Faze currently playing COD or are there fresh participants joining?
