I think there might be an issue with your RAM, but I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong without checking the right parts.

Hello, I own a PC for approximately three years now and have been facing significant slowdowns. Before sharing more details, here are my specifications: CPU – Ryzen 9 3900X (Auto OC), GPU – RTX 3070 Ti FE (Automatic Tuning), Motherboard – X570 TuF Gaming PLUS, Wi-Fi SSD – 870 QVO 1TB, Samsung RAM – (Single Channel) GSkill RipJaws 16GB @ 3000 MHz, Power Supply – EVGA SuperNova 750 Watt Gold, Operating System – Windows 11. To clarify the situation: the system stays cool, all drivers are up to date, BIOS could be outdated but caused issues even before a fresh install, reformatting Windows didn’t resolve it, and returning the CPU via RMA didn’t help. The GPU passed testing on another machine and I attempted dual-channel usage, though I’m still uncertain about its impact. Currently, I don’t have dual-channel enabled; it was just a test with a friend’s RAM to check compatibility. That attempt failed. Research suggests a RAM bottleneck can affect performance similarly. This led me to suspect the CPU issue before replacing it. In games, I notice low CPU and GPU activity, high RAM usage (80-90%), frequent stutters and drops in FPS, and generally poor performance across the board. Although temperatures never exceeded 81°C for the GPU (only during a test) and the CPU peaked at 77°C, benchmarks show everything runs smoothly. CineBench gives me a decent score, but RAM might have skewed it. SuperPosition rated the GPU and RAM similarly, with acceptable FPS numbers. I’m determined to find the exact cause since I’ve already tried several fixes. If this isn’t the RAM problem, what else could be the culprit? Thank you for your help—let me know if you recognize any similar symptoms.
You need "RAM: (Single Channel) GSkill RipJaws 16GB @ 3000 MHz" – it’s one stick if the RAM is slow. Get two 16GB sticks as soon as possible!
You inserted the RAM into slots 1 and 3, or 2 and 4, depending on the configuration.
I understand you're concerned about performance with a single-channel setup. Since you're considering an upgrade, let's explore the best RAM configuration to achieve optimal speed.
You might want to pay attention—your performance isn’t what you expect. At 53GB/s with decent latency, it’s clear something’s off. I’d love your feedback to confirm. Skip the recommendation; Vengeance RAM is unpredictable on Ryzens. A pair of GSkill 3600CL18 would be a safer bet.
Ok so here is what I got. And comparing what I got compared to yours. Uh.. it doesn't look too great. If you're saying yours isn't the greatest then you should see this. I can't tell you exactly what I'm seeing here but this looks like a problem to me I don't really know. You be the judge:
