I recently swapped in a Ryzen 5 2600X to swap out my 3000G, it performed perfectly until my friend handed me his motherboard. After installing the new one, I didn’t see any video output, so I thought the board was faulty and returned to my old model, which functioned well. About a month later, I spotted a good price on a Rog Strix B450-F gaming board and ordered it—arrived today. I installed it right away and still face the same issue: no video and the board lights stay stuck on "VGA error." To check, I tried my old 3000G, which worked fine. I’ve also experimented with other GPUs paired with the 2600X, but the problem persists. My components are: CPU – Ryzen 5 2600X, GPU – 1060 3GB, Motherboard – Rog Strix B450-F Gaming, Old Board – Asus Prime A320M-K, RAM – 16GB.

This strange problem seems similar to what I've encountered before. It might be related to the CPU, but more likely to the RAM. Consider swapping the RAM to check if a faulty channel is causing the issue.

Check if the cable is connected to the GPU instead of the motherboard.

Additionally, review the bios to determine if an update is necessary or if downgrading the BIOS would better suit the CPU's capabilities.
