hello, i just bought a new ryzen 7 5700x3d to fix my old 53600 and now i have a black screen problem. after putting in the new cpu, everything went crazy. at first, only a black screen showed up, so i thought clearing the CMOS might help, but it worked fine. however, the computer didn't boot normally because the Windows lock screen came up before anything else, instead of showing a BIOS menu or the logo. nothing happened straight to Windows. after restarting, things got even worse with just a black screen and fans spinning at full speed while the CPU debug light stayed on. i tried many CMOS clears, updated the BIOS to the latest version, and followed all steps correctly. when i used the old working CPU instead of the new one to update the BIOS, nothing changed since both versions seemed compatible. but something weird happened: my computer behavior changed after I unplugged the GPU completely. Once disconnected from the monitor, the fans started at max speed and stayed there without slowing down on their own. Normally, they slow down a bit after running for a few seconds. Also, one of the fans just tried to spin several times before giving up entirely. That's strange because i'm using two fan splitters; the other setup works perfectly fine. Could this mean there is an electrical short or some interference from unplugging the graphics card? The specs list an MSI X570 gaming edge wifi, ryzen 7 5700x3d paired with a ryzen 5 3600, 32 gb g skill ripjaws v ddr4 memory running at 3200 cl 16 evga gtx 1080 ti sc2 hybrid arctic lf 3 rev2. The cooling system is the deepcool cg580 with four fans attached: two are Noctua fans connected via a splitter, but one isn't working when the GPU is unplugged from the monitor. i am completely stuck and have no ideas left because i had a fresh Windows installation using only the default stock version of windows. thank you everyone for reading this.
