I own a brand new $2,000 pc. It frequently shuts off. I'm running it with basic applications like excel, simple 2D autocad without rendering, and google earth. After about 30 minutes or an hour it becomes extremely slow and starts lagging. Then after roughly 3-4 minutes it just turns off without warning or restarting. What could be causing this? The temperatures are normal, drivers are working, updates are current, and stress tests passed. I'm unsure what's behind the issue.

Build details:
CPU: i7-14700
Cooler: Gigabyte GME 240 Liquid Cooler
Motherboard: MSI ATX PRO Z790-P WIFI S-1700 Intel Z790
RAM: Acer Predator Hermes DDR5 64000MHz - 2 x 32GB
Storage: SSD Kingston SNV3S NVMe 2 TB
GPU: ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 5060
Power Supply: Cooler Master GX III 750W Gold, brand new, installed 3 days ago
BIOS version/date: AMI A.10 – July 31, 2025
Chassis: Cougar Duoface RGB Midi-Tower
Operating System: Windows 11 Pro
Display: JVC 32" FHD

Send it back for a replacement. You bought a working PC but didn’t receive one. Get the one you paid for.

Prebuilt? It was purchased from a specific source.
If needed, return it.
The more you alter it, the higher the chance of voiding the warranty.
