I recently installed a new system and am having trouble booting into BIOS without seeing any display.

Motherboard details include an AMD AM4 (Ryzen 5000, 3rd/2nd/1st Gen Micro ATX) motherboard with 128GB DDR4, 4400 O.C., NVMe, and other specifications. The CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5-1600X, paired with a Noctua NH-L9a-AM4 cooler. Available graphics options are Dell AMD Radeon R7 250 or Nvidia Quadro K420. RAM is PNY Anarchy 8GB DDR4 2666 PC4-21300 CL. The system features an NVMe 128GB SSD and a Thermaltake PSU rated 500W with SLI/CrossFire compatibility. I’ve performed extensive troubleshooting, changed all cables, updated memory, swapped video cards and monitors. I haven’t updated the BIOS yet. Should I consider buying an AMD 5 "G" series CPU? What next steps should I take? The motherboard supports the AMD Ryzen 5 1600X with BIOS version 0310. If it runs an older BIOS, updating is required for compatibility. The box description lists various features such as HDMI 2.0b/DVI/D-Sub, USB 3.2 2, and Aura Sync. If I update the BIOS, should I choose version 0310 or the latest?

The latest BIOS version supports most boards, but many older ones still lack compatibility for the first-gen RYZEN CPU, affecting their ability to work with newer models.

Yes, you are correct. The approach involves buying a different CPU, such as the Ryzen 5-5600G, rather than flashing the BIOS.

Thank you for your message. The CPU I'm using is a 5-1600x, isn't it not a 5000 series? I'm sorry for asking this before this build. I don't be a Ryzen user yet.

Thank you, I bought a Ryzen 5-5600g and everything is functioning properly now.
